FCM BOARD MEMBERS, 2024

 

Spencer Graves is president of FCM with an engineering PhD, is a published author & secretary of PeaceWorks, Kansas City.  He produces a radio show, KKFI’s “Radio Active Magazine” and served as for 6 years as an Air Force officer during the View Nam War.  One of Spencer’s and the group’s goals is to promote citizen participation in the media and to get media to focus on local news.

 

Tom Crane, vice-president of FCM, has an MA in foreign affairs and post-graduate studies in geography.  He served with Peace Corps for 3 years in a public health program in Malawi, Central Africa.  He has worked as a regional public affairs director for the federal volunteer agencies, and is a founder of KKFI community radio in Kansas City.  He also produces the “World Sound Radio” show on KKFI.

 

Craig Lubow, secretary of FCM, is a criminal defense and family law attorney in Kansas City, Kansas. Craig has been a progressive activist since the early 1970s, starting in the War Resisters’ League. H also serves on the executive committee of the Kanza Group of the Kansas Sierra Club.

 

Greg Swartz , FCM treasurer, has had a life-long interest in journalism and has a BS in journalism
from KU. He, also, has a JD from UMKC. He is in retirement and has spent much of his time
volunteering at KKFI community radio in Kansas City, MO, including 6 years as treasurer and on multiple committees. He has been going to Kansas City Chiefs games for 55 years.

 


Richard Thompson has a passion for politics and social issues.  He is very interested in the way both news and entertainment media cover them.  In his free time, Richard enjoys watching the Chiefs/Jayhawks, doing karaoke, fashion, listening to music, and hanging out with friends.

 

Teresa Wilke is a retired US Federal Government employee.  She worked 30 years for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.  Terri is involved with KKFI, 90.1 FM, Kansas City Community radio.  She has an undying appreciation for news.  Her goal is that all news and thought should go into the media hopper so that everyone can be informed and connect.
